About RandomBits
An independent journal about algorithms, systems, and decisions under uncertainty.
RandomBits (randombits.blog) is a collaboration between MJ Panda and Vineet Abhishek, friends for more than twenty-five years. Here, we continue a long-running conversation about how mathematical models, algorithms, and AI can improve practical decisions.
We write about leadership and engineering problems in which evidence is incomplete, environments change, and rewards arrive late. Our aim is to make the objective, assumptions, trade-offs, and error asymmetries explicit—then revise the model when the evidence changes.
The Authors
MJ Panda
Chief Operating Officer at ClarityPay (ex-Goldman Sachs, American Express). He writes on scaling operational engines, risk architecture, AI-driven credit and collections systems, and executive decision-making frameworks.
